Relics

Stopped by Relics today after Jazzercise and boy is there some creepy stuff in that place.  I have photos of some of it!
Tattooed eyebrows?
Do dyslexic hillbillies read this as 'Merican?
Awkward+Jetsons=kinda awesome
And the pièce de résistance...drum roll please...
On the surface it's only a little weird...until you look closer...
Creepy melted hands -- AGH!!
...or are they gang signs?
I didn't get a photo of the creepiest thing of all, a stuffed bunny with a hard plastic pig face, because it smelled too horrible for me to go anywhere near it.  Classy, Relics, classy.

Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thang, Sugar

I have just been totally wiped out this week and I think I finally figured out why.  I have not been eating enough -- weird, right?  I have been eating based on only working out (hah!) half as much as I actually am.  So hopefully with this adjustment I will be a little peppier this week.

In other pseudo-news, I've been working on a mix CD for Kristen (apparently I make good mixes -- just call me Mixmaster Maggie) and I finally finished it this afternoon.  Don't laugh.  It's serious business.  A good mix is a process that involves three important 'ination's -- imagination, rumination, and marination.  Anybody who's read any of my posts knows that, cooking excepted, slapping things together is not my M.O.

So, without further ado, below is the playlist.  I think it's the best one I've done in a long time.

Supertastic Funtime Why-Does-it-Have-to-be-Winter Mix
You Are The Best Thing, Ray LaMontagne
Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You), Kelly Clarkson
Fantasy, Mariah Carey
Brighter Than The Sun, Colbie Caillat
Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing, Stevie Wonder
Walking on Sunshine (feat. Soweto Gospel Choir), Katrina and the Waves
Honey Bee, Blake Shelton
This Too Shall Pass, OK Go
Best for Last, Adele
I'll Take You There, The Staples Singers
We Belong, Pat Benetar
Needle and Haystack Life, Switchfoot
Waterloo, ABBA
Sweet Pea, Amos Lee
Gonna Get Over You, Sara Bareilles
We Owned the Night, Lady Antebellum
Paris (Ooh La La), Grace Potter and the Nocturnals
Don't Stop the Music, Jamie Cullum
Everybody Loves Me, OneRepublic
I Want You Back, The Civil Wars
The Waiting, Tom Petty

3ish miles at Nathaniel Green this afternoon.  It's a cold but beautiful day.  Now I need a hot shower and a nap.  Oh, and to do laundry...

This is why...

...we can't have nice things.  No, wait.  This is why you never leave a musician alone with a webcam.

This video is entitled 'Paganini for Face' and I'm only sad I didn't think of it first.  I'm pretty sure I know am related to people with mobile faces.  Enjoy!

I don't give myself enough credit

I'm not completely feeble, but I truly did not think I could really do Jazzercise.  Now, granted, I'm not great at it and I choose to think that everyone else looks as sweaty, gross, and floppyawkward as I do, but I can complete an entire session and still walk out of the building and go home and not die.

That feels like an accomplishment.

Feel the burn!

Jazzercise was fun!  Sadly there was no 80's Barbie spandex and leg warmers, however...pregnant instructor in animal print spandex definitely ties for a close second.  I finished the whole thing!  Going into it I wasn't sure I could, but my time dancing in musicals has finally paid off!  My time in marching band...not so much -- what do you mean I'm not supposed to lead with my left?!?

In unrelated un-news, I think the reason I like the reduced sodium V8 so much is that it tastes like the tomato sauce they put in crappy, off-brand spaghetti Os.  Just throwin' that out there.

Tonight for dinner: 16oz of V8, 3 medium eggs almost over-easy, mustard, and an orange.  It's an almost balanced, almost completely yellow meal.  Actually it looks more like a sunset.  I'm eating the sunset.  Surprisingly, not as hot as you might imagine.
